COVID19 changed the whole world. It first sparked in 2019, going through years and years until it went through three variants. The last COVID19 variant turned affected people to Deviants. They lost their humanity and began eating people. More than half of humanity is gone. The world is now a wasteland. The sun has lost its golden colour. The trees are black as if burnt. Beautiful animals have either turned into beasts or are now almost non-existent. All hope is gone until Genesis, a group of scientists, revealed that they have created a potion that will awaken Humans' spiritual life force which they called mana.
Humans evolved and became Abherrants. They now learned how to fight against the Deviants. Genesis particularly created a safe heaven for humans. A city that is protected with thick and massive walls, and Guardians who are powerful. Everyone is thankful for them... but they have no idea that Genesis are keeping dark secrets. Rumours says that Genesis is hiding secrets about Deviants and that they are also doing horrible inhumane research. It is also said that they are the ones who created the strongest Deviant known as King by torturing him, and thus, he is filled with rage and vowed to kill and destroy humanity.
Abherrants are powerful, but still not powerful enough to wipe out the enemies and uncover the truth. One mysterious powerful person sacrificed herself to open up a portal from Gaia to Earth. The goal is to invite Earthlings and help the world of Gaia to become peaceful. The Management, us, will help guide the Earthlings to become strong and survive the cruel environment of the apocalypse.
We welcome all the humans who would like a bit of a thrill and adventure, or not have any care for their lives at all, in this apocalyptic world named Gaia. Gen-Z, I’m looking at you. Be careful or you might die and never return to Earth in one piece! For safety purposes, the management will give you a pill that will give you the power to protect yourself. Powers will be based on your potential. If you want to be on the other side, you can take the Deviant pill where it will turn you into a Deviant. Don’t worry though, your consciousness will be intact so you will still have control of your mind. Your hunger for humans though… that’s all up to your self-control.
This world is not recommended for children, those who have a soft heart, those who cannot run fast and people have weak physical and mental abilities. Deviants were first called Zombies because they are both cannibals and their behavior can be attributed to a virus. Their mental ability is reduced and their physical abilities increased. Deviants still look human, but they cannot understand anything other than to eat.
Abherrants are humans who gained the power to control mana after drinking the potion Genesis has created. Their powers can be elemental from fire to darkness, or can also be support like healing, and the strength depends on that person's potential and special life force.
Genesis were first group of scientist that are now the leading organization in the world of Gaia. They are the ones who experimented on Deviants to make Humans gain ability to fight back. They are treated as heroes... but are they really?
An association who gives quests to Abherrants from helping to build the wall to killing strong Deviants. The Abherrants get money and/or supplies as a reward. They are like mercenaries who works for profit and is not a member of official military.
The strongest army of Hope Central. They are the best of the best Abherrants and are either well respected or feared because of their strength. They are the main protector of the land. Some Guardians are stationed in different camps while some venture out to clear Deviants.
The rebels who discovered Genesis' true intentions. They all work together to survive and train in hopes to get revenge and justice against the true enemies. The members treat each other like family, bonds stronger than blood-ties.
